 Manual Lymphatic Therapy

What is?

It is an innovative technique of manual lymphatic drainage based on current scientific methodology, which aims to mobilize macromolecules from the interstitial space to the lymphatic capillaries, a mandatory condition to be considered a therapeutic form of lymphedema. This technique is part of the Godoy Method in the treatment of lymphedema that causes normalization or near normalization of edema.

Course Objective

Introduce the student in the treatment of lymphedema and diseases involving lymphatic vessels.

Course Development

In this module there is a presentation about the Godoy Method in the first lesson. The others address the specific topic of manual lymphatic therapy. The student may have access to the clinical experience for at least one week (40 hours). Each clinical experience corresponds to a level of 40 hours that can be performed according to the needs of the student, which, in the end, can total 150 hours or more. This division is made as follows:

Level I - 16 hours theoretical demonstration

In each module and their respective levels there will be a certification that will be signed by the direction of the school in Brazil and by the teacher qualified in each country. Certification will not be accepted as valid only with the signature of the representative teacher. The student can make other modules of the method and the time load will be added.
